This sub-class includes representative offices of foreign shipping lines. A representative office of a foreign shipping line is set up strictly to explore opportunities in the region. Units in this sub-class are primarily engaged in: - conduct research on demand for services - cultivate trade contacts and/or handle enquiries - collect information about markets, competitors and/or customers - gather information on business regulatory requirement for subsequent set up of permanent entity - participate in exhibitions and/or trade shows

This sub-class includes the activities of shipping agencies, who act on behalf of ship owners, ship managers and/or charterers to ensure that their requirements are met at the port of docking. Units in this sub-class are primarily engaged in: - handling of shipments and/or cargo - secure ship supplies - arrange crew changes - husbandry - customs documentation

This sub-class includes: - the operation and maintenance of ports, harbours and/or cruise/ferry terminals (including docking and pier facilities) - provision of terminal facilities such as harbours and/or piers - operation of waterway locks - pilotage and/or berthing activities

This sub-class includes the provision of lighterage services (i.e., transferring cargo by means of a lighter between vessels of different sizes, usually between a barge and a bulker or oil tanker).

This sub-class includes cargo salvaging from distressed vessels.

This sub-class includes the provision of ship management service (i.e., operation of ships on behalf of owners). Units in this sub-class are primarily engaged in: - crew recruitment and/or management - management of the ships' commercial activity - bunkering - employment of ship agents - registration of vessels - technical management of vessels

This sub-class includes the provision of ship brokering services (e.g., ship building brokers, ship chartering brokers, ship purchasing brokers, ship repairing brokers, ship selling brokers).

This sub-class includes supporting services to water transport not elsewhere classified. Examples: - navigation and/or management of vessel movements in the port - ship mooring service - lighthouse activities - river information services

This sub-class includes: - the provision of airport terminal services (e.g., ground service activities): - baggage handling and/or air cargo handling services - passenger check-in services - ramp services - aircraft towing

This sub-class includes supporting services to air transportation not elsewhere classified. Examples: - air traffic control services - aircraft inspection services - aircraft testing services

This sub-class includes the operation of container depots and/or container yards (except port operator). Additional services like storage of the empty containers, inspection, modification, cleaning and/or repair of containers as well as inland trucking of empty containers to meet their customer's container management requirements may also be provided.

This sub-class includes the provision of crane services with operator for all industries except construction. Units in this sub-class are primarily engaged in: - provision of lifting and handling equipment with operator, such as derricks and cranes, for cargo handling - moving cargos on industrial sites, typically with transport equipment that is not suitable for use on roads open to public traffic

This sub-class includes the provision of stevedoring services (i.e., loading and/or unloading of freight on and off shore while they are in port).

This sub-class includes classification societies that perform statutory certification and/or survey services for Singapore-flagged ships. This economic activity may require authorisation from the Marine Port Authority or its equivalent.

This sub-class includes marine surveying services (i.e., ship appraiser) and/or marine cargo surveying services except those provided by classification societies.
