This sub-class includes: - administration and/or operation of the ministry of foreign affairs and/or diplomatic and/or consular missions stationed abroad or at offices of international organisations - aid to foreign countries, whether or not routed through international organisations - management of foreign technical affairs

This sub-class includes: - administration, supervision and/or operation of military defence affairs and/or land, sea, air and/or space defence forces - combat forces of army, navy and/or air force - engineering, transport, communications, intelligence, material, personnel and/or other non-combat forces and commands - reserve and/or auxiliary forces of the defence establishment - military logistics (provision of equipment, structures, supplies, etc.) - health activities for military personnel in the field

This sub-class includes defence activities not elsewhere classified. Examples: - administration of defence-related R&D policies and/or related funds

This sub-class includes: - administration and/or operation of administrative civil and/or criminal law courts, military tribunals and/or the judicial system, including legal representation and/or advice on behalf of the government or when provided by the government in cash or services - rendering of judgements and/or interpretations of the law, arbitration and/or mediation of civil actions

This sub-class includes: - administration and/or operation of police forces supported by public authorities - the forces may be deployed at port, border, coastguards and/or includes special police forces. Duties include traffic regulation, illegal immigrant investigation and/or maintenance of arrest records

This sub-class includes prison administration by public authorities.

This sub-class includes the provision of correctional services, including rehabilitation services (e.g., juvenile correction homes), regardless of whether their administration and/or operation is done by government units or by private units on a contract or fee basis.

This sub-class includes: - fire-fighting and/or fire prevention services - administration and/or operation of regular and/or auxiliary fire brigades in fire prevention, fire-fighting, rescue of persons and/or animals, assistance in civic disasters, road accidents, etc. - provision of supplies for domestic emergency use in case of peacetime disasters and/or Community Emergency And Engagement (C2E) Committees - support for the working out of contingency plans and/or the carrying out of exercises in which civilian institutions and populations are involved
