Frequently asked questions

Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 82303 to 82305?
Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 82303 (Event organisers (except concerts, sports/fitness event organisers and wedding planners)) was reclassified to SSIC 82305 (Concert organisers) under that mapping.
Do I need to take any action?
Usually no. If your business activity is unchanged, the new code accurately reflects it under SSIC 2025 and no manual update is needed. You should only update if (a) the auto-mapped code doesn't match what you actually do, (b) your activity has changed independently, or (c) you claim a sector-specific licence or grant tied to the old code.
How many Singapore companies were affected by this specific recode?
Based on the change log we've maintained since the 9 May 2026 cutover, 24 companies have been reclassified from SSIC 82303 to SSIC 82305. Of those, 21 had it as their primary SSIC code and 3 as a secondary code.
What's the difference between SSIC 82303 and SSIC 82305?
SSIC 82303 was titled "Event organisers (except concerts, sports/fitness event organisers and wedding planners)". Under SSIC 2025, the equivalent activity sits at SSIC 82305 ("Concert organisers"). The two cover the same underlying activity per SingStat's official correspondence table; the SSIC 2025 title and number reflect the updated classification.
Where can I look up other SSIC 2020 to 2025 mappings?
Use our SSIC 2020 → 2025 lookup tool to find the new code for any old SSIC code, or read the SSIC 2025 overview for the full list of structural changes (including the Section J split into J and K).
