Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 42101 to 42100?

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 42101 (General contractors (non-building construction)) was reclassified to SSIC 42100 (Civil engineering general contractors) under that mapping.

Do I need to take any action?

Usually no. If your business activity is unchanged, the new code accurately reflects it under SSIC 2025 and no manual update is needed.
