Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 42201 to 42301?

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 42201 (Water and gas pipe-line and sewer construction) was reclassified to SSIC 42301 (Water and gas pipe-line and sewer construction) under that mapping.
