These education courses aim to give students a sound basic education in reading, writing and/or mathematics and/or an elementary understanding of other subjects such as history, geography, natural science, social science, art and/or music. Such education is generally provided for children, however the provision of literacy programmes within or outside the school system, which are similar in content to programmes in primary education but are intended for those considered too old to enter elementary schools, is also included (i.e., adult literacy programmes).

Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 85102 to 85200?

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 85102 (—) was reclassified to SSIC 85200 (Primary education) under that mapping.

Do I need to take any action?
