Why was my SSIC code automatically changed from 85501 to 85601?

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 85501 (Training courses for construction, real estate, security and investigation services, cleaning, landscaping, waste management and pest management) was reclassified to SSIC 85601 (Student recruitment agencies) under that mapping.
