SSIC 85502→85602

Singapore's national industrial classification was updated from SSIC 2020 to SSIC 2025, effective 9 May 2026. ACRA's BizFile+ system automatically mapped every existing entity to its closest SSIC 2025 equivalent using the official SingStat correspondence table. The code SSIC 85502 (Training courses for healthcare, education, community and social services) was reclassified to SSIC 85602 (Examination and accreditation agencies for education services) under that mapping.

Usually no. If your business activity is unchanged, the new code accurately reflects it under SSIC 2025 and no manual update is needed. You should only update if (a) the auto-mapped code doesn't match what you actually do, (b) your activity has changed independently, or (c) you claim a sector-specific licence or grant tied to the old code.

Based on the change log we've maintained since the 9 May 2026 cutover, 144 companies have been reclassified from SSIC 85502 to SSIC 85602. Of those, 75 had it as their primary SSIC code and 69 as a secondary code.

SSIC 85502 was titled "Training courses for healthcare, education, community and social services". Under SSIC 2025, the equivalent activity sits at SSIC 85602 ("Examination and accreditation agencies for education services"). The two cover the same underlying activity per SingStat's official correspondence table; the SSIC 2025 title and number reflect the updated classification.
